It was a beautiful day out in San Francisco. I wore a colorful sheer silk long-sleeve blouse and a pair of brown shorts since it was actually a beautiful day in the city. If you haven't noticed from my previous posts, I normally do not wear color. The base of the shirt is black, but the accents are colored, which was a great way to transition myself from neutral shades to a colored palette.

My everyday staple pieces include a leather jacket, skinny jeans, a white top, and a pair of black heels. I was recently in Anaheim, CA and opted for this no-fail look. I added this A. Wang bag that I've had for 3 years now, which adds another sense of edginess. I've also been loving this pair of blue mirrored sunglasses by Quay Australia to add a little color to a simple neutral outfit. What are your staple pieces?

Sweet Sonoma

My parents and I took a trip up to Sonoma for some site seeing and wine tasting. It was my first time visiting because I usually venture out to Napa instead. I had a great scenic view on the way there, had about 9 wine tasting glasses (oops!), and explored some amazing boutiques. I'll definitely be back to explore some more!

Who isn't into the whole neutral look? There's something so clean and refreshing about it that I just can't stop gravitating towards these colors. I happened to snap some quick photos in my room before a night out in Napa with all of my friends. I also added a statement box clutch to make the outfit slightly dressier.

Orange You Glad I Bought This Vest?

Kora Rae sent over this stunning deep V vest. I decided to wear it out as a vest this time, but just so you all know, it can also be worn as a dress. I couldn't help but choose this piece. I love the ivory shade, how well-made it is, and the way it shapes my body. It may be a little pricey, but trust me, its versatility and material are beyond worth it. I paired the vest with this pop of orange top from BCBG. It's a great color that brings out the tan in people with medium complexions and a shade that pairs very well with white/ivory. If you have the time, please check out their website. They have incredible customer service and also share a portion of their proceeds with the National Tiger Sanctuary in Saddlebrooke, Missouri to help with the preservation of tigers and the environment. Because of their mission to help wildlife, I will continue to support Kora Rae in the future.

When I worked at BCBGMaxAzria, I made incredible friendships with the entire staff. Three years later, we still remain sisters and have finally attended our friend Kendra's long-awaited wedding!! This blue dress was not fussy whatsoever. I found it at The Grove in LA and could not leave the store without it. It allowed me to move easily and was perfect for the heat in Tahoe City, CA. These heels, however, may not have been the best choice just because of the grass, but I had to make it work because it matched my clutch and dress well. #Sacrifices. Anyway, I was ecstatic to witness the love and devotion Kendra and her now-hubby for each other. It makes me excited to witness more weddings in the future & eventually my own!

I attended my first radio-hosted concert in Sacramento. It was a dress-to-impress event, so I opted for this Alexander Wang x H&M dress I bought last year, which was airy enough for the HOT weather and edgy enough for the type of environment. Artists, such as Sage the Gemini (s/o to the Bay Area!), Big Sean, G Eazy, Tinashe, and more, performed and it was just a really fun time, especially since a lot of my friends attended as well. There's nothing like starting the summer off right by making new memories.

I recently spent a beautiful day in Monterey Bay with the bae! I chose to wear white because I knew how refreshing it would look with the ocean in the backdrop. Even though my outfit seems very simple, the embellished detail and statement shoes dress it up. I was comfortable the entire day, especially because of my easy-to-move-in shorts. When walking around for a long period of time, think about what will be comfortable for you and dress it up in various ways through accessories and makeup. Clothes aren't the only things that can make up an outfit!

This top was actually a piece from last spring that I picked up while working at BCBG. What made me gravitate towards this top were the interesting geometric cutouts. I paired it with an angled skort from Zara. I felt that the sharp angles and cuts of these two pieces were what made the outfit. The weather here in the Bay Area is still reminiscent of winter, so I opted for black chelsea boots and a fedora. It made the outfit less full-on spring and rather more transitional between the two seasons.
